Job Description:

Provides leadership and management of aquatics programming within the Family Center. The Aquatics Director manages member participation and retention through the development and execution of aquatics programs to achieve strategic goals and provide outstanding customer service to all members.Minimum Requirements:

• Associate's degree or equivalent required; Recreation Management or related field of study preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in aquatics program management required.
• 1-3 years of experience in staff supervision and leadership required.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
• Current Oxygen Administration certification required.
• Current Lifeguard certification/YMCA Aquatic Safety Assistant or Red Cross Safety Training for Swim Coaches required. (YMCA Lifeguard certification preferred; Red Cross Lifeguard certification is acceptable, but must receive YMCA certification within 60 days).
• Current YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor certification required within 60 days.
• Current YMCA Pool Operator on Location certification or Certified Pool Operator preferred.
• Trainer and YMCA Aquatic Management certifications a plus.
• Previous experience with diverse populations. Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds.
