responsible for providing technical support and maintenance
services to ensure the optimal performance of industrial
refrigeration equipment and systems. This role involves diagnosing
issues, performing repairs, and conducting preventive maintenance.
The technician will work closely with clients to resolve technical
problems, provide training on equipment usage, and recommend
solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Duties/Responsibilities: Provide technical support and maintenance
services to ensure optimal performance of industrial refrigeration
equipment and systems. Conduct preventive maintenance to avoid
equipment failures and downtime. Work closely with clients to
resolve technical problems and provide training on equipment usage.
Recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
Stay updated with the latest technical advancements and industry
trends. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company
policies. Drive a company vehicle to customer sites to fulfill
service calls. Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to
ensure a safe working environment. This involves wearing
appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following
established safety procedures. Perform routine maintenance tasks on
various equipment and systems. This encompasses checking, cleaning,
and servicing components to ensure they are in optimal working
condition. Identify problems with equipment or systems while
utilizing diagnostic tools and following systematic approaches to
pinpoint issues. Interact with customers during service calls to
explain the nature of the problem, the steps being taken to fix it,
and provide general maintenance advice. Provide training and
guidance to apprentices Other duties as assigned Required
Skills/Abilities: Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting
skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment. Ability to
work independently and in a team environment. Attention to detail
and strong organizational skills. Customer-focused with the ability
to understand and address client needs. Capability to follow
technical manuals and schematics. Flexibility to adapt to changing
priorities and work environments. Proficient in record-keeping and
documentation. Knowledge of safety standards and practices. A
willingness to continue learning and stay updated with the latest
industry trends Proficiency in Microsoft Products to provide
accurate information and recordkeeping for clients.
Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent Technical
or vocational training in relevant fields (preferred)
Certifications in specific technical areas (e.g., CARO, CIRO, CRST,
HVAC, automotive repair) preferred A willingness to continue
learning and stay updated with the latest industry trends Knowledge
of safety standards and practices Proficient in record-keeping and
documentation Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work
environments Capability to follow technical manuals and schematics
Customer-focused with the ability to understand and address client
needs Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability
to work independently as well as in a team environment Proficiency
in using diagnostic tools and equipment Travel Requirements: Must
have a valid driver’s license Anticipated 100% travel to customer
sites in the region, including occasional travel out of state .
Ability to travel occasionally to attend meetings, trainings, and
events. Physical Requirements: Ability to wear and utilize all
required personal protective equipment (PPE) Ability to sit, stand,
and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to lift, carry, and
move objects weighing up to and exceeding 50 pounds Ability to work
in hot and cold environments. Bend, kneel, and crouch for extended
periods Ability to perform repetitive movements Ability to move in
and around confined and cluttered places and uneven areas Adequate
vision to perform all required tasks Work on ladders, scaffolding,
and rooftops Comfortable with heights and able to climb and descend
safely Strong sense of balance and spatial awareness Participate in
