Full Time, Night Shift. Four 10-hour shifts, Wednesday -
Saturday (9:00 pm - 7:30 am)
You Will Be Responsible For:
Performs repairs to building in a competent, neat, and
Demonstrates the ability to identify the proper tools to use and
inquires as to any questionable needs to the appropriate
Ensures work area is clean and free of debris when repair is
Ensures materials are available and on-hand prior to starting
Accurately completes and turns in work orders and P.M.'s on a
Performs all Life Safety PMs and Work Orders within one month of

they were assigned.
Demonstrates knowledge when utilizing and completing the
computer based work order software.
Work orders are complete, accurate and turned in by the 3rd
business day of the following month.
Visit each assigned area, daily, to solicit customer needs and

Identified repair needs are processed in a prompt manner.
Uses proper safety procedures (i.e. lockout/tag out) 100% of the
Consistently uses PPE's when policy dictates.
Demonstrates knowledge and uses Lock-Out Tag-Out procedure.
Remains current on codes/standards related to hospital
Actively reviews bulletin board for updates on codes and
policies to ensure compliance
Knows and exhibits knowledge of Life Safety Code 101 and knows
how to apply.
Maintains knowledge of defined utilities and completes utility
system failure reports when needed.
Completes occurrence or failure reports on any of the defined
utilities 100% of the time.
Submits complete and accurate utility report within 2 work days
Demonstrates the ability to find, read, and utilize blueprints
and construction documents.
Always files blueprints and construction documents in their
Operates company vehicle, as needed.
What You Will Need:
Working knowledge of building systems, i.e. chillers, boilers,
building automation, HVAC, fire alarm, etc.
Ability to read and write at a high school level and follow
written and oral directions.
Basic computer skills required.
Ability to read and interpret blue prints and construction
HS Diploma or equivalent.
Employed by a Medical Center as a Maintenance Technician for at
least three years and/or possess licensure
Valid Class E Florida Driver's License
Performs repair and maintenance of assigned areas that would
require performing tasks which normally would come under such
trades as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical,
building automation and plant operations.
