Ocala Health has the only Commission on Cancer approved cancer center in Marion County. Our hospitals offer a host of other quality and award winning services including bariatric surgery, orthopedic care and joint replacement, robotic surgery, cardiac and vascular services including open-heart surgery and interventional procedures, emergency, neurological and rehabilitation services, and Ocala Regional Medical Center is a Level II Trauma Center. Ocala Health’s outpatient facilities include Family Care Specialists, a primary care network of six locations throughout Marion County; Advanced Imaging Centers with two locations; a freestanding Wound and Hyperbaric Center; a Senior Wellness Community Center; and two surgical and physician specialty practices. A unique position that provides direct care to the maternity patients who require Trauma Center services in a family centered approach, in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization, as well as guidelines of professional organizations.  The OB RN remains in a high-alert “on-call” status.  The OB RN will follow the patient throughout the hospitalization (Trauma Resuscitation area, Radiology, OR, ICU and 4 th Floor Trauma).  During periods of down-time the OB RN will perform other duties within his/her scope of practice that contribute to the overall success of the trauma mission as assigned by his/her supervisor.  Tasks may include but are not limited to care of equipment and supplies, contribution to the PI initiatives of the Trauma  Registry and preparation for and assistance with department training. Qualifications 2 year Associates Degree required Current Florida RN License required or obtained within 90 days of hire if licensed with applicable RN Compact Licensure BLS ACLS within 90 days of hire/transfer NRP within 90 days of hire/transfer Fetal Heart Rate Monitoring AWHONN Intermediate Program One year RN acute care experience preferred An EEO/AA Employer M/F/V/D.
