Job Description Job Description Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1 year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time Physical Therapist position is available for the current school year (contract through May 29, 2026) servicing K-12 students in multiple school locations within the Lake County area near Tavares, FL. This role involves itinerant assignments and direct service to approximately 40 active students ranging from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Key Responsibilities: - Provide physical therapy evaluations, treatment, and consultation within school settings - Manage caseload across multiple schools as assigned - Collaborate with educators and other related service providers to support student needs - Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including timesheets and procedural agreements as part of district onboarding and compliance Qualifications and Experience: - Current professional Physical Therapist license required - School-based therapy experience preferred but not mandatory - Ability to work fully onsite with itinerant duties as needed - Excellent communication skills and collaborative approach Location: - Onsite work in various schools across Lake County Public School district, primarily based near Tavares, FL Additional Information: - Full-time schedule, 37.5 hours per week (8 hours plus 30 minutes unpaid break) - Onboarding includes completion of district-specific paperwork and credentialing process - Position requires participation in prescreen interviews; candidates should provide availability between 9-11 a.m. or 2-3 p.m. EST for scheduling flexibility This contract position offers a dynamic opportunity to impact student outcomes in diverse educational environments.
