Our expertise includes water and wastewater treatment plant construction, site development, underground utilities, and roadway projects . We are seeking a Project Engineer to support our Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) division. This role is based out of Jacksonville, FL and supports projects throughout the region. It is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented professional who thrives in planning, preparation, and execution ? contributing to complex infrastructure projects that make a lasting impact in the communities we serve. What You?ll Do Project Planning & Execution Support project planning, preparation, and execution for water and wastewater treatment plant construction projects. Assist with production planning, quantity tracking, and cost forecasting to support project efficiency and profitability. Apply technical knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and logistics to support field operations. Collaboration & Leadership Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams to support project milestones and deliverables. Serve as a technical resource to help solve field and coordination challenges. Model Petticoat-Schmitt?s values of Accountability, Character, and Teamwork in daily interactions. Technology & Documentation Utilize Microsoft Excel, MS Project, and Primavera P6 for scheduling, reporting, and forecasting. Support document control, submittals, RFIs, and project records. Use construction software such as HCSS, Procore, or similar platforms to support heavy civil and WWTP projects. What We?re Looking For Experience & Education 1?3 years of experience in civil engineering or construction management. Experience with water/wastewater treatment plant projects strongly preferred. Bachelor?s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering , or a related field. Technical & Professional Skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling tools (Excel, MS Project, Primavera P6). Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills. Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across field and office teams. Physical Requirements Ability to work in both office and active construction environments.
