This role is crucial as it involves maintaining and repairing the refrigerated sections of diesel trucks, ensuring they meet all operational standards for temperature-sensitive cargo. Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on refrigeration units within diesel trucks. Diagnose and repair any mechanical and electrical problems in the reefer units. Ensure compliance with safety practices and maintain documentation of repairs and replacements. Collaborate with management and other team members to find solutions to reduce downtime and increase efficiency. Order and manage inventory of parts and supplies. Keep up-to-date with advancements in reefer technology and introduce innovative repair solutions. Strong knowledge of diesel engine and reefer unit mechanics. Ability to work with diagnostic computers for troubleshooting and repairs. Proficient in the use of all tools of the trade. Excellent problem-solving skills. Strong communication and organizational skills.
