Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Description: CLX Engineering is
looking for a Maintenance & Materials Coordinator to support live
industrial automation work in high-stakes environments like
airports and large-scale facilities . This role is not clerical,
and it’s not a passive warehouse position. It sits at the
intersection of materials, maintenance, and operations , keeping
engineers moving and systems online. If you take ownership, notice
problems before they become emergencies, and don’t shy away from
physical, fast-paced work — this role was built for you. What This
Role Actually Does This position exists to prevent downtime by
owning material flow, inventory accountability, and maintenance
support. You are the backbone behind the scenes — when you do your
job right, engineers stay focused and projects don’t stall. You
will: Own inventory accuracy , not just tracking Maintain minimum
stock levels and flag shortages early Receive, stage, issue, and
document materials for field and maintenance teams Support
maintenance activities by ensuring the right parts are available at
the right time Help build and maintain material tracking systems
(CMMS, scanning, logs, etc.) Enforce process when parts move — no
undocumented “grabs” Work closely with engineers, technicians, and
site leadership This is a physical role in active environments —
expect lifting, staging, organizing, wrapping, labeling, and moving
materials daily. Requirements: Early mornings (often 4–6 AM starts)
Loud, industrial, non-climate-controlled areas at times Airports
and secured facilities You will not leave spotless — this is real
work, not a desk-only role What We’re Looking For We’re not looking
for perfect résumés — we’re looking for operational thinkers .
Strong candidates typically bring: Experience in materials
coordination, inventory control, maintenance support, logistics, or
operations Comfort being accountable for parts and process Ability
to explain where materials are, who used them, and why Willingness
to enforce process without ego Basic technical literacy (you don’t
design systems, but you understand what parts support) Forklift
experience or willingness to certify quickly
