Job Description Job Description Job Title: Painter (Autobody) – Manufacturing Company Location: Ocala, FL Pay: $16.50–$20.00/hr to start Growth Potential: Up to $22–$25/hr once processes are mastered Shift: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Monday–Thursday) Overtime: Optional OT on Fridays and Saturdays; current employees average 45–60 hours per week Hiring Type: Direct Placement Opportunity Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Autobody Painter to join a well?established manufacturing company. This role is ideal for someone who is skilled in automotive?style painting and wants to grow within a stable, long?term environment. The position offers strong earning potential and the opportunity to become a key contributor to the team. Responsibilities Work from specifications, shop orders, and detailed work instructions Review material and product requirements before starting each job Perform prep operations including masking, sanding, taping, and hanging parts Obtain and mix specified paint or coating materials Set up, operate, and make basic adjustments or minor repairs to spray guns Receive and inspect bodies, cabs, doors, or components prior to coating Activate paint based on supplier recommendations Apply primers and multiple topcoats in the required sequence Set bake-oven temperatures and timers according to manufacturer guidelines Clean and maintain spray equipment after each use Maintain the paint booth according to the approved maintenance schedule Visually inspect completed work and record production data Required Skills & Experience Autobody painting experience (manufacturing or automotive environment preferred) Paint preparation Taping/masking Sanding Paint mixing Ability to follow detailed instructions Strong attention to quality Why This Opportunity? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $21.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
