All while understanding that together we are even better. \n \n\n \n Schedule: Full Time \n \n\n \n Shift :Days \n \n\n \n Location: 1500 SW 1 st Ave Ocala, Florida 34471 \n \n\n \n The community you'll be caring for: AdventHealth Ocala \n \n\n \n Horse Capital of the World Home to the World Equestrian Center \n \n Destination for outdoor enthusiast (golf, kayaking, horseback riding, nature trails) \n \n Vibrant downtown area with award winning establishments \n \n Family friendly with many parks and recreations \n \n Spectacular springs throughout the county \n \n\n \n The role you'll contribute: \n \n\n \n The Surgical Technologist II is a member of the health care team who performs technical support in the perioperative period under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse according to the accepted clinical standards of care. \n \n\n \n The value you'll bring to the team: \n \n\n \n Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedure \n \n Scrubs, gowns, and gloves \n \n Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedure displays knowledge of procedure and patient postitioning \n \n Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to the operation and before incision is closed \n \n Gowns and gloves surgeon and assistants \n \n\n \n Qualifications \n \n\n \n The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed: \n \n\n \n High School Graduate/ GED \n \n Successful Completion of accredited Surgical Technology program \n \n Commitment to work on a Specialty Surgical Team of Open Heart, NeuroSurgery or Orthopedic \n \n CST certification obtained through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Tech in Surgery - Certified (ST-C) obtained through the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) / BLS \n \n\n \n This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
