All while understanding that together we are even better. /n /n/n /n Schedule: Full Time / Part Time / PRN /n /n/n /n Location : Orlando, FL /n /n/n /n The role you’ll contribute: /n /n/n /n The Vascular Ultrasound Technologist, under general supervision, performs a wide range of Sonography and Vascular Sonography procedures in accordance with department protocols, contributing to the delivery of high-quality diagnostic information for the treatment and prognosis of vascular disorders and other medical conditions. This role operates at a technical level, conducting ultrasound procedures across a broad spectrum of patient ages, from neonatal through geriatric, ensuring high-quality exams for interpretation by medical professionals such as Cardiologists and clinic physicians. In addition to routine diagnostic tasks, the Vascular Ultrasound Technologist assists physicians with interventional procedures, employing ultrasound as a guidance tool where necessary. The role demands a comprehensive understanding of both departmental and hospital policies and procedures relevant to the field of Sonography and Vascular Surgery. The Vascular Ultrasound Technologist is expected to exercise independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in performing diagnostic scans, selecting practical applications and technical factors, and assuming responsibility for designated areas or procedures. Engagement in the performance improvement program is essential, as is adherence to the Corporate Compliance Plan and all rules and regulations of applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. This position emphasizes the importance of outstanding customer service, maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all, and occasionally entails teaching and directing the work of other staff and students. The ability to deliver safe and effective patient care, consistent with the organization's mission, vision, and core values, is paramount. Graduate from an applicable accredited program - required. /n /n/n /n The value you’ll bring to the team: /n /n/n /n · Exam Supervision and Administration: Consistently obtains the highest quality scans possible in relation to patient body habitus and/or NPO prep status as observed by Radiologists, Ultrasound Educator, and Ultrasound Manager. /n /n/n /n · Diagnostic Image Quality and Documentation: Reviews all images on ultrasound machine or Web and thoroughly fills out Ultrasound worksheet in a timely manner. Re-scans patient as requested by Radiologist. /n /n/n /n · Personal Productivity and Accountability: Completes exams in a timely manner. Properly and consistently evaluates patient prep status and schedules exam accordingly. /n /n/n /n · Data Processing: Utilizes computer system to update exam status, cancel/update orders as needed. Ensures charges match procedure completed. Confirms proper exam/patient assignment at QC before releasing images to PACS for interpretation. /n /n/n /n · Safety and the Environment of Care: Operates and maintains ultrasound equipment in a safe manner. Adheres to all infection control standards. May transport pharmaceutical waste from the point of generation to a designated secure storage area. /n /n/n /n The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: /n /n/n /n Minimum qualifications : /n /n/n /n · Graduate of Ultrasound Program /n /n/n /n · BCLS - Basic Life Support /n /n/n /n · ARDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography or /n /n/n /n · ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or /n /n/n /n · CCI - Cardiovascular Credentialing International or /n /n/n /n · RDMS - Registered Diagnostic Med or /n /n/n /n · RDMS-OB - Registered Diagnostic Med Sonographer-Ob or /n /n/n /n · RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist or /n /n/n /n · RVS - Registered Vascular Sonographer /n /n/n /n Preferred qualifications: /n /n/n /n · Graduate of Vascular Ultrasound Program /n /n/n /n · Associate or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare-related field /n /n/n /n · Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer RDMS (BR) OR /n /n/n /n · American Registry of Radiologic Technologies RT(BS) /n /n/n /n This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
